Traffic police resumed duty in Dhaka: IGP

Md Mainul Islam, the Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) said that the traffic police have resumed their duties on some roads in the capital. Traffic police will gradually start working on all the roads.

The IGP said this while replying reporters at central police hospital in Razarbagh in the capital on Sunday noon (August 11).

He said that we have no manpower problem in traffic department. Traffic policemen have already started working from Hotel Intercontinental Signal to Jahangir Gate. Many traffic policemen are working in these places. Gradually traffic policemen will start working on all the roads.

Students, BNCC and scout members are also on these roads. We are in touch with the student coordinators so that there is no misunderstanding between the students and the traffic policemen, he added.
