599 police stations resume operations

Operations of 599 police stations, out of 639, resumed across the country as of 3:00 pm on Sunday (August 11).

According to Police Headquarters, 97 police stations out of 110 are functional in the metropolitan cities while 502 police stations out of 529 in districts.

Most of the police stations have reported that one or two general diaries were filed. The number of police service takers will increase day by day. These police stations were not attacked or were less damaged. The police stations are being fully renovated with the direct support of the army.

It is mentionable that some police stations were set on fire forcing policemen to flee after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government.
