Jamaat places some demands to interim govt

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has placed a list of demands to interim government Chief Advisor Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at the chief adviser’s office in the city.
An 11-member delegation, led by Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, met Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at the chief adviser’s office in the city on Monday.
Law Advisor Professor Dr Asif Nazrul, Adviser for Industries Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Md Nahid Islam and Adviser for Youth and Sports Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, Jamaat urged the interim government to take effective measures to bring the law and order situation under control across the country and withdraw all the political cases filed during the Sheikh Hasina's government.
Jamaat also called the government to file cases against those who committed genocide to suppress the anti-discrimination student movement and terminate all the dishonest and corrupt officials in all sectors.

Shamsul Islam, Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Hamidur Rahman Azad, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council Member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Central Executive Council Member and Publicity and Media Department Secretary Matiur Rahman Akand, Central Executive Council Member and Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan South Nurul Islam Bulbul and Dhaka Metropolitan North Ameer Md. Salim Uddin were present, among others.
