Train services resumed

The Bangladesh Railway resumed intercity train services from today (August 13), about a month after gap.
Railway director for public relations Md Nahid Hasan Khan, said that the decision was taken to resume freight train services from August 12 and mail, express, local and commuter train services from August 13.
The services of Parabat Express on the Dhaka-Sylhet route and Jamalpur Express on the Dhaka-Jamalpur route will remain closed temporarily.
Earlier, amid the countrywide student protests, the students blocked rail tracks at Mohakhali in the capital on July 18, leading to the shutdown of rail communications across the country.
