Farooq-e-Azam takes oath

Freedom fighter Farooq-e-Azam took the oath of office as an adviser to the interim government led by Nobel laureate Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath at the Bangabhaban at 11am on Tuesday (August 13).

He returned to Bangladesh from the United States on Sunday night. 

Naval commando Farooq-e-Azam is a freedom fighter who was awarded Bir Pratik.
