Nat’l emergency service 999 resumes

The National Emergency Service 999 has fully resumed from Tuesday morning (August 13) after being closed for eight days.
Kamrul Ahsan, information officer at the Police Headquarters confirmed the matter.
He said that after about a week, the 999 service was fully restored finally. It was not possible to provide the service as there was no police in the country's police stations since August 6.
Police returned to work in almost all police stations of the country yesterday. We are now providing 999 service as usual, he added.
