Interim government Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus phoned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday and discussed issues of mutual interest.
During the telephone conversation, Dr Muhammad Yunus assured the Indian Prime that the interim government would prioritise protection, safety and security of Hindus and all minority groups in Bangladesh.
Indian Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India's support for a democratic, stable, peaceful and progressive Bangladesh, according to the Indian Prime Minister's Office.
Modi posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account that he reiterated “India's support for a democratic, stable, peaceful and progressive Bangladesh.”
According to Modi, Yunus assured protection, safety and security of Hindus and all minorities in Bangladesh."
