Jahangir new home adviser, Sakhawat moved to jute ministry

Portfolios have been distributed among the new advisers and redistributed among the existing advisers to the interim government.

Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has replaced Brigadier General (retd) Sakhawat Hossain as the new home adviser, while Sakhawat has been made the de facto chief of jute and textiles ministry, as per a reshuffle of the interim government ordered Friday.

Earlier in the day, Jahangir was sworn in along with three others as advisers to the transitional government.
