Japan to continue support in development of Bangladesh

Japan has given a positive assurance to continue its support in development of Bangladesh.

Adviser to the Ministries of Finance and Commerce Dr Salehuddin Ahmed said this while talking to reporters after meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh IWAMA Kiminori at the Finance Ministry in the city on Monday.

“We discussed various bilateral issues, including trade, investment and employment. Japan is very happy regarding the ongoing stability of Bangladesh. There is no more questions, no more ambivalence about them (Japan). Rather, they will negotiate with more projects for the future," he said.

Salehuddin said that Japan has expressed its keenness to increase support in various sectors, including health and education and private sector investment.
