Eight top officials of Islami Bank sacked

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has dismissed its eight top officials including five deputy managing directors and one additional deputy managing director from their jobs.

They were loyal to S Alam Group, sources said.

The officials are Additional Managing Director JQM Habibullah, Deputy Managing Directors (DMDs) Md Akij Uddin, Mohammad Sabbir, Miftah Uddin, Kazi Md Rezaul Karim, and Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer (CAMLO) Taher Ahmed Chowdhury, and Principal of the Training Institute Md Nazrul Islam.

Letters were sent to them by the bank on Monday (August 19).
