Divisional commissioners, DCs being removed

After removing the senior secretary, secretary and secretary rank officials from the posts of heads of various ministries, departments and agencies, the country's divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners are also being removed.

Public administration ministry sources on Monday (August 19) said that already the process has been started.

Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners are being shortlisted giving priority to the deprived officers. They will be recruited gradually.

The interim government led by chief adviser Dr Mohammad Yunus started to bring a major change in the public administration after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government.

Soon after assuming power, the contractual appointments of senior secretaries, secretaries and secretaries in various ministries, departments and agencies were cancelled.
