Dr Yunus to attend BIMSTEC summit in Thailand

Chief Adviser Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to visit Thailand on September 3. He will attend the sixth BIMSTEC summit there.
Foreign ministry sources said Fayaz Murshid Kazi, the recently appointed ambassador to Thailand, has been sent to Bangkok on an urgent basis centering the Chief Adviser's visit.
The BIMSTEC conference will be held from 2 to 4 September.
The sixth summit of the seven-nation regional alliance BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) will be attended by the top leaders of all the member countries of the alliance including India.
Dr Yunus is expected to depart Dhaka for Bangkok on September 03 and return on September 05. The chief adviser will address the summit on September 04.
