Journalist couple Shakil, Farzana Rupa arrested 

Shakil Ahmed and Farzana Rupa, who were recently sacked from private Ekattor Television channel, have been arrested in a murder case.

Shakil Ahmed, his wife Farzana Rupa and their daughter were detained by the immigration authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Wednesday morning. Later, they were handed over to the Detective Branch (DB) of police. 

They were shown arrested in the murder case filed at Uttara East Police Station in the capital.

Dhaka metropolitan police sources said on Wednesday afternoon.
