Train operation suspended on Dhaka-Sylhet, Dhaka-Ctg routes

Nine districts of Bangladesh have been affected by floods due to the consistent rain and onrush of water coming down from India. Highways and rail lines have been submerged in the flood water.

In the wake of the sudden flood, Bangladesh Railway has announced that the operation of all types of trains on Dhaka-Sylhet and Dhaka-Chattogram routes will remain suspended until further notice.

Bangladesh Railway has issued a notification on Thursday (August 22), suspending train movement on these two routes.
