Menon put on 5-day remand

Workers Party President and former Minister Rashed Khan Menon and Arif Ahmed have been put on a five-day remand each in the trader Abdul Wadud murder case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ali Haider granted the remand plea at around 4:00pm on Friday.
Earlier, the New Market thana police produced him before the court and sought a 10-day remand.
A team of police arrested him from the capital’s Gulshan area on Thursday (August 22). Later, he was taken to the DB office of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Trader Abdul Wadud was killed in the capital’s New Market area.
