Murder case filed against Shama Obaid

A case has been filed against Bangladesh Nationalist Party leader Shama Obaid, 52, over the death of a Kabir Bhuiyan in a clash between two factions of the party in Nagarkanda of Faridpur on August 21.
The victim’s widow, Monzila Begum, filed the case at Nagarkanda police station in the early hours of Saturday, against 36 individuals and 50-60 unidentified people.
Shama Obaid is the main accused.
Nagarkanda Police Station Officer-in-Charge Aminur Rahman confirmed the matter.
On Wednesday, BNP suspended Shama Obaid and Shahidul Islam Babul from all the party posts.
