What decisions taken to address demands of Ansar members

The interim government has taken several decisions to address the demands of the protesting Ansar members, acknowledging the legitimacy of their concerns.

A press release signed by Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division of Home Ministry Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen was issued in this regard on Saturday.

The decisions are:

The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a committee to address the demands of protesting Ansar members. The newly-formed committee, led by the Director General of Ansar and VDP, and including representatives from the general Ansar members, has been tasked with reviewing all demands and making reasonable recommendations within seven working days.

The government will determine the course of action based on the committee's recommendations.
Until then, the recruitment of new general Ansars will be suspended.

Consequently, the government will examine the possibility of continuing employment for Ansar members beyond the current three-year service period, without a mandatory break.

The government warned that it would take legal actions against any instigators attempting to create unrest within the disciplined force.
