Arms recovery drive to be started soon:

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said drive will be launched soon to recover illegal firearms.
The adviser said this while addressing a meeting with the ambassador of France to Bangladesh Marie Masdupuy in the capital on Sunday (August 25).
During the meeting, the existing law and order situation, reformation of police, recovery of illegal weapons and other issues were discussed.
When the ambassador expressed the tension regarding the looted firearms from several police stations, the adviser said that firearms recovery drive will be started soon.
Adviser said the law and order situation in Bangladesh is gradually improving. However, the country is facing some challenges due to various demands and issue-based movements of people of various classes and professions. Hopefully, the situation will improve soon.
