Bangladesh scripted history as they recorded their maiden Test win over Pakistan at Rawalpindi cricket stadium on Sunday (August 25).
This is Bangladesh's first 10-wicket win in Tests. Bangladesh could not secure victory in the last 13 Tests before this. The only achievement was the Khulna Test draw in 2015. Finally, the Tigers got a historic victory in the 14th Test. It was only Bangladesh's seventh win abroad, 20th overall.
Bangladesh needed just 30 runs in the fourth innings of the match as they bundled out the home team for 146 in the second innings of the first Test. The Bangladeshi two openers Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan started an aggressive batting and reached the target sensibly.
Miraz bagged four wickets and Shakib got three, while Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahmud and Shoriful got one each. Mushfiqur Rahim bagged man of the match award for his outstanding performance.
