171cr USD in remittances received in 24 days

Expatriate Bangladeshis sent around 171cr USD remittances during the month of August in the fiscal 2024-25.

During the first 24 days, Bangladesh received a total of 171.83 in inward remittance, according to the updated data of the central bank on Sunday (August 25).

The highest 137.77cr USD remittance came to the country through private banks.

State-owned banks came second as it channeled 27.69cr USD while foreign banks brought the third-highest amount of 32.30cr USD.
