Former Minister Hasanul Haq Inu arrested

Former Information Minister and President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Hasanul Haq Inu has been arrested.

He was arrested from his Uttra residence on Monday (August 26).

Deputy Commissioner of Gulshan Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Kazi Ziauudin confirmed the matter.

According to DMP sources, there is a murder case against him with New Market Thana.  

He was elected lawmaker three times with boat symbol.

Inu served as the information minister under an Awami League-led coalition government during 2012-2019.
