Menon put on six-day remand

Workers Party President and former Minister Rashed Khan Menon has been put on a six-day remand in the murder case of garment worker Rubel, who was killed during the quota reform movement.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifur Rahman granted the remand plea on Tuesday (August 27).
Adabor Thana inspector Mintu Chandro Bonik produced him before the court and sought a 10-day remand.
A team of police arrested him from the capital’s Gulshan area on Thursday (August 22). Later, he was taken to the DB office of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
He was put on a five-day remand in the murder case of a trader named Abdul Wadud who was killed in the capital’s New Market area.
