Governor urges all not to buy S Alam assets

Bangladesh Bank (BB) governor Ahsan H Mansur has urged everyone not to purchase any assets or properties owned by controversial S Alam Group.

The governor said this while addressing a press conference at the central bank headquarters in the capital on Wednesday (August 28).

We want to use this resource to protect depositors. Legal action will be taken soon in this regard.

Meanwhile, top officials of the central bank attended the program.

There is an allegation that S Alam Group is selling lands giving power of attorney to others.

In reply to a question, he said we will request to the countrymen not to buy the assets of S Alam Group.
