Ali Akbar appointed BSEC commissioner

Former senior district and sessions judge Md Ali Akbar has been appointed as a commissioner of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
The Financial Institutions Division (FID) issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (28 August).
He has been appointed with a four-year term. His salary and other benefits will be determined by the terms outlined in the employment contract with the government, reads the notification.
BSEC's five-member commission requires a quorum of three commissioners (including the chairman) to conduct meetings.
