All rivers flowing below danger level

The water levels of all major rivers in Bangladesh are now flowing below the danger level. The water levels of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Padma rivers are receding and are expected to continue decreasing over the next 48 hours.
Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre issued a notification in this regard on Friday (August 30).
Sardar Uday Rayhan, Executive Engineer of the organization said the water levels of the Teesta, Dharla, and Dudhkumar rivers in the northern region are also decreasing and are likely to maintain normal flow during the same period.
He also said that the water levels in the major rivers of the northeastern and eastern regions of the country, including the Manu River, are also decreasing.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, there is no forecast of heavy rainfall in the northeastern and eastern regions of the country and the adjoining upstream areas over the next 48 hours.
