Fuel prices slashed, effective from midnight

In line with global market trends, the government has reduced the prices of diesel and kerosene by Tk1.25 per litre and those of petrol and octane by Tk6 per litre for consumers.

The new prices will be effective from Sunday (September 1).

The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a gazette notification in this regard on Saturday (August 31).

According to the new decision, diesel and kerosene would be sold at 105.50 per litre, while petrol would be sold at Tk 121 per litre and octane at Tk 125.
