Deaths in dengue hit 27 in August

The number of deaths in the mosquito-borne disease, dengue, reached 27 in the month of August.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the information on Sunday (September 1).

Currently, 1,333 dengue patients are hospitalised in across the country. Of them 780 are admitted in Dhaka city, while 553 are admitted to different hospitals outside the capital.

The DGHS notification further said as many as 12,841 dengue patients took admission at several hospitals across the country and 83 dengue patients died this year.
