Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury resigns

Jatiya Sangsad speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has resigned.

She submitted her resignation to President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Monday (September 2).

The President dissolved the parliament a day after former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country on August 5 amid mass upsurge against the government.
