Diamond World MD Dilip Kumar arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Dilip Kumar Agarwala, the managing director of Diamond World.

He was arrested from Gulshan area of the capital on Wednesday (September 4) night.

Lt Col Md. Munim Ferdous, director of the Legal and Media Wing of RAB, confirmed the information.

A team of elite force launched a drive at the Diamond World office in the capital’s Gulshan area on Tuesday night and arrested Dilip from there, he said.

Dilip is an accused of money laundering, fraud and forgery, linked to the import of gold and diamonds, RAB officials said.

On Tuesday, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) launched an investigation into allegations of laundering money and smuggling gold and diamonds against Dilip Kumar Agarwala.
