Haji Salim falls ill in remand, admitted to hospital

Former Awami League lawmaker Haji Salim, who was placed on remand in a murder case, has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after he fell ill.

DMCH police outpost in-Charge Md Bacchu Mia told the media that he was admitted to the DMCH on Tuesday night.

It is reported that Detective Branch (DB) of police was interrogating Haji Salim during the remand. At one stage, he started feeling sick. Then doctors advised him to admit the hospital as his physical condition was not good.

Earlier, a DB team conducted a raid at Bangshal area in the capital on Sunday night and arrested Haji Salim from there. Later, he was taken to DB office.
