Chief Adviser gives nine directions to secretaries

Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus has given nine directions to secretaries in a bid to ensure maximum use of government money.

The Chief Adviser came up with the instructions during a meeting held with the secretaries in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The press wing of the Chief Adviser Office issued a statement in this regard.

The instructions are-

Undertake a reform programme and implement it at all levels of the government, after holding discussions with stakeholders. We must all work together to rebuild the country, upholding honesty, dedication, and accountability.

In a bid to build a new Bangladesh, secretaries will come out of the traditional thinking process for conducting government activities by giving the highest importance to the public interest in a creative way.

Remove existing obstacles to ensure transparency and accountability by eliminating corruption.

The objectives of the interim government are to achieve maximum public satisfaction by providing proper services, ensuring the best use of public funds, promoting fair competition in public procurement, and maintaining transparency and accountability at all levels.

Additionally, all officials concerned with the ministries and departments of the government have been asked to submit time-bound action plans for short, medium and long-term reform programmes.

Regularly evaluate and monitor these plans, upholding their creative and citizen-friendly mindset.
Use the positive insights for the sake of the country’s overall progress and improvement.
