Dr Sabrina Flora made OSD

Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, the director of the National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine (NIPSOM), has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD).

After the fall of the Awami League government, she was removed from the post of additional director general of the Directorate of Health and appointed as the director of NIPSOM. However, she could not continue the post due to the protest of staff of the organization. She has been made OSD again.

A notification, signed by Md Abu Raihan Dolan, senior assistant secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, confirmed the matter on Thursday (September 5).

Three more officers have been appointed and transferred through the same notification.

They are- Dr. Jasim Uddin, special officer in charge of the Department of Health, transferred to the post of Sunamganj District Civil Surgeon, Dr Hadi Zia Uddin Ahmed has been made principal of Medical Assistant Training School (MATS) in Kushtia.

Besides, Dr Mahbub Arefin Rezanur, Head of the Department at the Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN) in Dhaka, has also been reassigned as a Special Officer on Duty.
