7 to accompany Chief Adviser at 79th UN General Assembly

Dr Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the interim government is set to lead a team of seven people to the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York from September 22 to 29.

The information is known from the Government Order (GO) of the Office of the Chief Adviser.

The seven members include - the Chief Adviser’s daughter Deena Afroz Yunus; Lamiya Morshed, Principal Coordinator for SDG Affairs; Debapriya Bhattacharya from the white paper committee on the economy; Shahidul Alam, Managing Director of Drik; Mahfuj Alam, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser; Shabbir Ahmad, Assistant Private Secretary to Dr Yunus; and Aysha Siddique Tithi, a student at BRAC University.

Earlier on September 1, in a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tauhid Hossain said that the interim government's chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will go to New York.
