7-day remand for Shahjahan Khan 

Awami League presidium member and former Minister  for Shipping Shahjahan Khan has been put on a seven-day remand in a murder case filed with Dhanmondi Thana. 

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Ahmed granted the remand plea on Friday.  

Earlier, sub inspector and investigation officer of the case Md Khokon Mia sought a 10-day remand plea.
Shahjahan Khan was arrested from Dhanmandi area in the capital on Thursday night. 

A young boy named Abdul Motaleb was killed during the quota reform movement on August 4 and a case was filed.
