25 detained in joint operation, 53 illegal arms recovered

A total of 25 persons were detained and 53 illegal arms were recovered in the joint operation conducted in last four days across the country. 

The joint operation began across the country on the night of September 4 in an effort to recover illegal firearms.

Earlier, the interim government suspended all license of firearms issued during the Awami League government. 

The government asked gun owners to submit their firearms and ammunition along with the suspended licences to the relevant police stations within 3 September.
