Tazul Islam appointed as ICT chief prosecutor

Supreme Court Advocate Mohammad Tazul Islam has been appointed as the chief prosecutor of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) with the status of Attorney General.
The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Saturday (September 7) night.
Four prosecutors were also appointed according to the section 7 of the International Crimes (Tribunal) Act, 1973, the notification said.
Advocate Md Mizanul Islam was appointed as prosecutor with the status of additional attorney general while Advocate Gazi Monawar Hossain Tamim and Advocate BM Sultan Mahmud appointed as prosecutor with the status of deputy attorney general.
Besides, Advocate Abdullah Al Noman was appointed as prosecutor with the status of assistant attorney general.
