Former Teknaf Chairman Shahjahan Mia arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a former chairman of Teknaf Sadar union Shahjahan Mia from Dhaka’s Bashundhara residential area on Sunday night (September 8).

RAB in a text message confirmed the matter to the media on Monday (September 9).

According to the RAB, the former Teknaf Sadar Union chairman Shahjahan is a listed drug dealer.

Video footage is available of Shahjahan openly attacking protesters of the quota reform movement. He has been named in several cases over violence and drugs.
