Militants are under scanner: IGP 

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam said that police have been put on high alert as the militants who were released from the jails on bail, cannot engage them in any criminal acts.

The IGP said this while addressing a program at police headquarters on Tuesday (September 10).

He said all units of the police have been directed to take immediate action against militants, terrorists and disrupters of communal harmony.

Mainul Islam also said the position of Bangladesh Police against militant and terrorist activities is 'zero tolerance'.

The police headquarters is regularly monitoring the matter with utmost importance. Police are very strict and vigilant against militancy and terrorist activities so that militancy and terrorism cannot rise again in the country, The IGP added.
