Dr Yunus visits army headquarters

Chief Adviser to the Interim Government Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus today visited the army headquarters here for the first time.

On his arrival, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman welcomed the Chief Adviser on Sunday (August 15).

Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Chief Adviser's Special Assistant on Defense and National Solidarity Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Hafiz, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, Navy and Air Force chiefs, PSO AFD, senior military and civilian officers, inspector general of police and director generals of intelligence agencies, BGB, Coast Guard, Ansar and VDP, RAB and senior officials of army headquarters were present.

That time, the Chief Adviser was briefed on important issues of national security. Valuable directives given by the Chief Adviser during his visit will be very helpful in playing an effective role in every aspect of formulation and implementation of the future action plan collectively, ISPR press release said.
