Govt fixes egg, chicken prices

The interim government has fixed the retail prices of egg and chicken.

A letter issued and signed by Director General of Department of Livestock Dr Mohammad Reajul Huq asks all concerned to ensure the new prices stay effective on Sunday (September 15).

According to the notice, the authority fixed the retail price of one piece egg at Tk11.87, per kilogram sonali chicken at Tk269.64 and per kilogram broiler chicken at Tk179.59.

Except the director of all divisional livestock departments, a letter has been sent to the Bangladesh Poultry Industry Association, Feed Industries Association of Bangladesh, Breeders Association of Bangladesh, World Poultry Science Association, Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council, Bangladesh Poultry Farm Protection National Council, Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh except the director of all departmental livestock departments to take action in this regard.
