Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee president Shahriar Kabir arrested

Shahriar Kabir, president of the Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, was arrested on Monday (September 17).

Police arrested him from his Banani residence.

Confirming the matter, Tejgaon police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mobarak Hossain said Shahriar Kabir will be produced before the court on Tuesday (September 17).

Shahriar Kabir was an activist of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra during the liberation war. He helped to write inspirational manuscripts and poems for freedom fighters.

He formed the Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee in 1992. The committee is a pressure group founded to demand the trial of war criminals from the Bangladesh Liberation War.
