Former Justice Manik shown arrest in 6-murder case

Former Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik has been shown arrested in six separate murder cases in Dhaka.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jaki Al Farabi accepted the plea after hearing on Wednesday (September 18).

He was produced before the court around 8:00am following a petition submitted by police to show Manik arrested in separate cases filed at the Adabar, Lalbagh and Badda Paltan police stations.

Earlier on August 23, Manik was detained by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) while attempting to cross into India through the Dana border in Kanaighat. Later, he was airlifted to Dhaka from Sylhet.
