3 former CECs sued in Sedition case   

A sedition case has been filed against 18 people including three former Chief Election Commissioners (CECs) in Chattogram for conducting illegal and fraudulent elections.

Md. Ekramul Karim, 70, former general secretary of Chattogram city unit of BNP, filed the case with the court of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Shariful Haque on Wednesday.

The court also asked the Chattogram Metropolitan of Police to investigate the charges. 

Plaintiff lawyer advocate Kofil Uddin confirmed the matter.

Former Chief Election Commissioners are Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed, KM Nurul Huda and Kazi Habibul Awal.
