Dengue claims 6 lives in 24 hours

At least six dengue patients died in the latest 24-hour count, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

This is the highest number of single-day deaths from the mosquito-borne disease this year, taking the death toll to 119.

A press notification from DGHS confirmed the matter on Thursday (September 19).

In the same period, 865 new patients were hospitalized, signaling an alarming rise in dengue cases across the country.
