Former deputy commissioner Mashiur on 7-day remand

A court in Dhaka, placed Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Chattogram Range Mashiur Rahman, on a seven-day remand in a murder case filed with New Market Police Station in Dhaka.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Saddam Hossain passed the remand order on Friday (September 20).

Earlier, Ramna Zonal Team Inspector Jahangir Arif, the investigation officer of the case pleaded to the court to place the accused on a 10-day remand. After the hearing, the court granted police a seven-day remand for the accused.

The Detective Branch of police arrested Mashiur from Chittagong on Thursday (September 19).
