Two stabbed dead in Mohammadpur

Two people were hacked to death in Mohammadpur area of the capital over establishing supremacy. 

The incident took place in the Rayer Bazar area on Friday (September 20) night.

The deceased were identified as Nasir Biswas, 30 and Munna, 22.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur police station Ali Iftekhar Hasan confirmed the information.

Locals said two groups of people locked into a clash over establishing supremacy near Rayer Bazar Intellectuals Graveyard at Mohammadpur yesterday evening. Suddenly, some unidentified men, who were involved in the clash, stabbed Nasir and Munna indiscriminately, leaving them injured critically.

Nasir was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital while Munna rushed to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital. Both succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment.
