Law and order cannot be allowed to deteriorate: Home Adviser

Home Adviser Lt. Gen. Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) has said we will not allow anyone to deteriorate the law and order situation under any circumstances.

The adviser said this while talking to newsmen after a meeting with local leaders of the Chattogram Hill Tracts at around 3:00pm on Saturday (September 21).

No tolerance will be shown to those who have destroyed the law and order situation in the region. None will be spared if found responsible…If they try again in future, their hands will be broken, he said.

The government has earlier expressed profound shock and sorrow at the casualties in the attacks at different places, centering death of a person in mass beating at CHT on September 18.
