Ex-MP George put on two-day fresh remand 

Selim Altaf George, former lawmaker from Kushtia-4 constituency, has been put on a two-day fresh remand in a case filed over killing an auto-rickshaw puller named Md Roni in the capital’s Mohammapur during the mass movement.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arafatul Rakib passed the order on Saturday (September 21).

Earlier, investigation officer (IO) of the case Altaf Hossain produced George before the court upon completion his three-day remand and prayed for five-day fresh remand.

Earlier, on September 17, detectives of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Altaf from Lalmatia in a murder case filed with Mohammadpur Police Station.
