US$ 163cr remittance received in 21 days of Sept

Bangladesh received US$ 163.42 crore inward remittance during the first 21 days of September, according to data from Bangladesh Bank.
The updated data from the central bank confirmed the matter on Sunday (September 22).
State-owned banks received $48.7 crore, while $6.98 lakh came through specialised banks, $107.96 crore through private banks, and $40 lakh through foreign sector banks.
In July of this year (fiscal year 2024-25), Bangladesh received $191.35 crore in remittances, marking the lowest foreign income for a single month in the last 10 months.
