Former state minister Zahid Faruk arrested

Former State Minister for Water Resources Ministry Zahid Faruk was arrested from the capital’s Baridhara area on Sunday evening (September 22).

Lt Colonel Md Munim Ferdous, director and spokesperson of legal and media wing of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) confirmed the matter.

Munim said that several murder cases were filed against him. He will be shown attested in one of them.

Following specific intelligence information regarding his location, he was arrested from the Baridhara area, he added.
